What we don't realize is Daisy was a 48 year old lady on a bender. Just kidding. This looks so good! I'm very picky about painted antiques. My mother had the exact same piece. Now I have it.

Love this looks super cool I wish I have the talents you do
My issue is I put a coat of primer on my furniture after using other wood filler. The texture is so different because you can see the wood grain vs where the obvious patch up is since the wood filler is smooth and didn’t have any texture like a wood grain. Would the texture problem go away when I use a paint? Or should I use Dixie mud on the entire surface of my veneer top and sand so the entire texture is the same smooth surface I’m going for?
I’d sand the whole area after applying the wood filler no matter the brand if you can still see it. Some wood fillers are grainy. The mud is quite smooth. I over full then sand back. Works great!

Love the vibe of this color.
Wood veneer, thin-cut wood, can be replaced with new wood veneer. There's nothing cheap about wood-veneered furniture.

You could always buy it (but it’s sold) and strip it yourself.

NOW this idea will live in my head! I’m working on a Beatles theme on a cheap discarded dresser but this sparks my creativity! Thank you for sharing all the reasons why it’s ok to step out of the box and do these kinds of pieces of furniture
